Central and Western Alborz Tour

The amazing Alborz massif stands just less than 2 to 3 hours of drive from Tehran . From wonderful summits close to ski slopes to the higher and less touchable one all together makes a unique complex for Ski touring . Alborz range is on higher latitude which means the quality of snow is normally wonderful till end of March and even later on higher summits . Another advantage of this area is possibility to organize from easy tours to very advanced and hard days . The smaller summits ( around 3000 to 3500 meters high ) to the higher ones ( Alamkouh 4850m ) all available to give you an unforgettable ride.

Alborz mountains around Dizin , classic tour   :

Day 1 : Pickup from airport and transfer to Dizin . It's around 2 hours of drive to Dizin . Accommodation would be in a nice cozy flat hired by us privately or you could choose to stay in a 4 star hotel . briefing about the area

Day 2 : Breakfast and transfer to Dizin ski slopes . We ski up the ridge close to the resort to a nice easy summit ( around 700 meters vertical difference ) to Siahsang Summit ( 3300 m ) . With wonderful off piste slopes out or inside ski resort we could return to the lodge .

Day 3 : Ski touring on wolf summit ( very short ride from the lodge ) . This summit is wonderful for having lots of slopes with amazing snow . The summit is around 3000 meters and vertical difference is 800 meters

Day 4 : Drive to Nashteroud village and ski touring on Khonkahar summit ( 3400 m ) . Vertical difference is 1100 m . From the summit , we have lots of stunning choices to enjoy the day the best . 

Day 5 : Ski touring on Duna summit . ( 3600 m ) . Duna is an amazing summit with a steep canyon for skiing . It would be an unforgettable day on this summit . ( we choose this summit if the condition is quite in safe condition) .

Day 6 : Ski touring  on Seketo summit .  It's long ridge brings you to the stunning summit ( 3860 m ) . It's then possible to ski down the nice steep part and then the beautiful canyon of it .

Day 7 : Ski touring on Pahnesar summit . A very safe slope close to a ski slope ( Khor ) and it's possible to ski touring on this summit even in dangerous snow condition .

Transfer back to Tehran – end of tour

Please note that other summits could also be added to this tour such as Kolon Bastak 4180 m , Karchan 3900 m , Naz 4000 m . Also city sightseeing could be added to end of trip upon your request .

NOTE :  The trip to Alborz mountain could be also  continued with some 4000 to 4300 meters peaks which you should do in  2 days or 1 day if you are quite fit  . Please ask us if you have any question on this. info@IranClimbingGuide.com or ask on whatsapp .

Hopefully because of the difference in the mountains of Alborz , most of the people could enjoy the slopes . At least there are 3 very easy tour available on this area which are also suitable for all different taste . People with more Technic and Endurance could enjoy more skiing on other slopes which are steeper and very nice . 

Guide ratio would be 1:5 and Our guides are qualified and experienced enough to work on the mountain . We have the only IFMGA Mountain and Ski guide  in Iran at the moment ( and 2 Aspirant guide ) . All our guides are good skiers , fluent in English language and don't have problem in communicating at all . Have passed the 3 years of mountain guide  official course in Iran . You need to provide :

1 . Ski equipment ( Ski , Skins , Crampons for ski , Sticks ( skiing poles ) , boots for ski touring )

2 . Safety Equipment ( Avalanche transceiver ( Please check the battery )  , Shovel , probe )

3 . Proper backpack for skitouring ( could be with/ without ABS ) but needs to have tapes to carry skis

4 . Proper clothes for ski touring , down jacket

5 . Sun glasses and ski goggle

6. Thermos , Suncream , Lipstick

7 . Helmet ( Recommended )

8 . inflatable mattress

9 . small kit for first aid ( another one will be carried by the guide )

1 . Rental safety equipment ( We need to know in advance )

2 . Rental clothes ( we need to know in advance )

1 . Staying in one of our nice , clean and cozy flats . The flat has furniture , beds and you will get the best food in country by our chef .

2 . Staying in the hotel in the mountain . Stay in 3 star hotel in city .

We have great feedback on our food plans . We serve two different foods per meal . one is most European and one is traditional dish plus some dishes of Kebab during the trip . You never forget our foods as we have a special cook for this reason . We also care about different diets of the people in the group . So don't worry if you are vegetarian or have allergic to some materials . Drinking is free during the trip . Water would be always mineral for you in closed bottles
